Urgent research into liver, pancreatic and biliary tree disease is critical. Historically, research has been underfunded and as a result, many causes remain unknown.

There is minimal guidance at the GP and health professional level. A growing number of people are now affected with these diseases and there remains a lack of
affirmative tests and treatments.

And sadly, because of late diagnosis, there are low survival rates associated with many of these conditions. And this is why we believe the work and research we are doing at LAP is so critical.’

We direct funds into pioneering, crucial scientific research and involve ourselves in the education of those affected - the public and medical professionals alike.

Our objectives are straightforward: Prevention. Earlier detection. Improved treatment. Higher
survival rates.
